 Hello and welcome to my blog! You can call me Pixel :space_invader:

I have always had a passion for building things, starting out my career as an aerospace engineer for military and civilian applications, transitioning into robotics engineering for a worldwide entertainment brand, and eventually finding myself working as a senior software engineer for Silicon Valley tech companies.

I view myself as less of an “engineer” and more of a “creator”. No matter the subject-matter, I love to create, build, design, solve problems, and share my experiences, including both my successes and my failures. And I love to learn from others and their experiences as well. So, it was a natural progression for me to start a blog with the goal of sharing my experiences and learning from others – once I code in the ability to leave comments on here, that is

I have finally reached a point in life where I can create my dream workshop, and I wanted to set up a blog documenting building out my workshop and using it to make everything from furniture to home automation and all that is in between. With that goal in mind and with the help of my wife :woman:, we came up with the name From Saw to Software.

I have a lot of very different projects in mind which will involve many subjects and skills, and I am excited to share them with you! I’ll be learning what I don’t know along the way, and documenting it all here for my future self as well as for anyone else who might find it useful.
